Join a server

  • Join on server from the server list

OR

  1. Type the IP adress given by the server host
  2. Click JOIN


Create a server

ONLINE = Open to the internet (if private is disabled, the server will appear on the server list)

(run the application from the cli with --headless to run a server without graphics and --upnp to use it)

  1. Get your public IP (https://whatismyipaddress.com/)
  2. In BulletSpeed menu go to multiplayer 
  3. Check UPNP
  4. Click HOST

Gameplay

  • Sharp movement mechanics (Strafedash dodgewall jumprocket jump, and bunny hop), allowing you to keep building momentum at any time.

We few friends tried this last night. The game feels really cool so far and we're keeping an eye out to see your progress on this.
The movement is weird to get the hang of but it's awesome once you get it going.

Thank you and your friends for playing ! I'll drop the 0.8 once i got all the new models (in a month or so). The update will come with many new additions (maps, new mechanic, graphical rework, etc)

The game has a lot of promise! Here's a few things I've noticed from a short 20-30 minute play:

  • The move speed zoom effect is a bit disorienting, an option to turn it off or would be appreciated!
  • I'd love an FOV slider
  • Airtime is quite floaty, not the most satisfying movement at low speed IMO, though once you reach high speeds it's VERY satisfying flying around everywhere!
  • LOVE the aesthetic
  • There doesn't seem to be a way to easily go up ramps, maybe rampsliding being added would change the game too much, but it's very unsatisfying hitting a shallow ramp at high speed and coming to a full stop, maybe holding jump/dash while hitting a ramp that is shallow allows a rampslide or something like that, or allows a trimp? not sure

I love games like this a lot, so I hope to see this one develop and grow and gain a following!

For the zoom/fov I was only planning adding a FOV range setting, but I will add a disable zoom option along with it.

For the floaty effect, dunno what to do. Either I tweak the physic at the risk of making high speed movement feel heavier or I give full control of the physic settings  to the server owner (like Cs commands).

I need to rework the ramps, I'm working on stairs that could replace ramps, like the one in three-way, or I can find a way to increase jump height when hopping on ramps so the player doesn't stop on the ramp.

The project to make my dream fps started in late September and I don't plan to quit working on it. There's many more things to come: new and better maps, new guns, new gun models, many customization options)

I'm prepping a steam release for the beta (no date working at my pace)
